Municipal Communications is proud to announce the completion of five 195’ monopole towers on the U.S. Army’s Fort Benning installation near Columbus, GA. Completing this project involved thirty months of close coordination between Municipal, Verizon Wireless, AT&T, the garrison staff, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Savannah and the Office of the Secretary of the Army. These towers will provide much-needed coverage and capacity relief across the base’s training and living areas. “This project demonstrates how Municipal’s expertise and diligence pays dividends,” observed CEO Peter Corry. “Our staff worked with the Army’s engineers and technicians to identify sites that would provide the greatest improvement in wireless service without impacting the Post’s training operations. We are grateful for the support we received from the Fort Benning leadership and members of the Corps of Engineers who assisted us in seeing this project through to completion.”
